I usually do not like crowds—yet often find myself fascinated by tales of crowds.

Qarrtsiluni's next issue is all about crowds. They are asking for submissions.

"For the next issue of qarrtsiluni, we are open to all perspectives, positive and negative, historical and biological, on crowds and other aggregations of social animals. Inspiration can be sought in the ecstasy and fervor of the stadium, the battalion, the game, the march, the final episode, the fad, the stampede — or the collective consciousness in general."

"Rod Stewart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. On 31st December on the same year he played in front on 3.5 million people on Copacabana Beach in Rio. This became and still is the largest audience for a gig ever. It has been noted, however, that it was also New Year's Eve."

Now that's a crowd and I thought the traffic was bad in Harvard Square!
